If there’s one thing I really take pride in, it’s definitely my hair. I love keeping it silky soft and de-frizzed, so if there’s anything in the haircare market that will help me achieve this, you best believe I’ll try it!
My best friend asked me if I wanted to try out the Coco & Eve Like A Virgin hair masque and to be honest, I was a little skeptical at first because I had only seen this brand on Instagram and the price was a little high, but oh boy, I’m glad I invested.
The masque claims to have ‘5 benefits in 1’ which are – rejuvenating and reviving dry and damaged hair, deep conditioning, improving texture and shine, restoring hair to it’s natural ‘virgin’ state and finally you’ll be able to see a difference in one wash. The question that played on my mind was – does it really work? And the answer is – yes it does!
If that isn’t enough to win you over, the product derives from Bali, meaning you’ll get only the best and purest ingredients. Plus it’s completely free from parabens and sulphates, it’s gluten-free, cruelty-free and 100% vegan.
Currently, you can buy the hair masque here for £34.90 and you’ll get a free tangle tamer worth $15 (I use mine to comb the product through my hair). OR you and your bestie can get the ‘Besties Kit’ where you’ll get two hair masques and two tangle tamers for £54.90 which works out a bit cheaper.
The company recommends using the masque 2-3 times a week if you have dry hair, 1-2 times a week if you have normal hair and just once a week if you have oil-prone hair. Coco & Eve also suggest using the masque in place of a conditioner and leaving it in your hair for 10 minutes before rinsing it out, however, I like to dampen my hair, lather the product through my ends and leave it in for about 1-2 hours before washing it out.
The first time I used it, my hair was noticeably more smooth and felt softer to the touch but it was only after my third use (in the same week) that I really noticed a difference. My frizziness was less noticeable, my hair had a stunning shine to it and my hair just generally felt more healthy. My hair is naturally straight, the photo on the left was the aftermath of dutch braids!
It’s a bit of a hefty price for one hair product, but the investment is so worth it! I’ve been using this religiously for over a month now and my hair looks better each time. I can definitely see why everyone is hyping over it.
