I have a lot of beauty products I’ve been loving this month so I’m going to keep it as short and sweet as possible for you!
First is the Wonderland Studio Finish Primer (£15) which I was recently sent to review and I absolutely love it – so much that I’ve often been wearing it alone on days where I don’t have makeup on – it makes my skin have an even, non-oily finish! Definitely a dupe for another high-end primer.
I’ve been loving two foundations this month – one for when I’m tanned and one for my natural skin colour – we all know the drill! Estee Lauders’ Double Wear (£32.50) is one of the most popular foundations around and it’s clear to see why – the matte formula is super full coverage and literally lasts FOREVER. It does take some elbow grease to get off (particularly after a night out) but the results you get are totally worth it.
The Nars All Day Luminous Foundation (£34) is another cult favourite! Again, with a natural looking but full coverage finish, this foundation gives your skin a healthy glow as well as covering any imperfections flawlessly. It’s also practically weightless and super comfortable on the skin.
I’m surprised the brushes on these mascaras haven’t worn down yet the amount I’ve been using them! The travel-size Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara (£11) is my absolute favourite and I will 100% repurchase the full-size one! It doesn’t smudge and it holds the curl in my lashes all day.
Maybelline’s Colossal Big Shot Mascara (£7.99) is especially good if you’re going for a more dramatic eye look as it thickens as well as lengthens your lashes without making them look clumpy!
The blusher I use every single time I wear makeup is Max Factor’s Creme Puff Blush in the shade Nude Mauve Pink (£8.99). It’s shimmery but it gives you more of a glow than a highlight! I love the shade of this as it’s quite muted so when it’s dusted lightly over your cheeks it gives you a really natural finish.
I’m in love with the Bella Pierre Banana Setting Powder (£22.50) – the most important reason being is that it doesn’t have flashback which is insanely annoying in photos! I use it under my eyes and on my nose to prevent creasing and oiliness and it works a treat! If you don’t know what banana powder is, there’s a good article about it here.
Next is another holy-grail for a lot of people – The Balm Mary-Loumanizer Highlighter (£20) I’ve used this on my eyes, my cheekbones and even a light dust all over my face and I love the way it looks every single time! It really is a staple in my makeup bag.
The Zoeva Brow Spectrum Palette (£20) is something you need if you love a natural but sharp looking brow. The powder isn’t too harsh so you end up with an everyday, subtle look! There are 6 brow shades and 3 highlighting shades in this palette so your brows will be looking fleeky day in, day out!
Out of the many, many, many lipsticks I own, I always find myself going back to MAC’s ‘Persistence’ (£16.50) which is described as a ‘peachy cinnamon’ shade with a matte finish (the best kind of finish in my opinion). It isn’t drying and it lasts a pretty long time even after eating and drinking!
Of course, no favourites would be a real favourites post if it didn’t include the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19). It’s pigmented, creamy and easy to blend – what more could you want from a concealer?!
Sorry for the lengthy post! I’m going to make a conscious effort to try to get this kind of post up monthly, as it’s one of my favourites to read!
