Hey guys!
I feel like it's been forever since I've posted a Glossybox post and they are the posts that people seem to enjoy the most!
My Glossybox was delivered yesterday and to be honest, I feel like this has been the best one I've received so far this year so I had to do a post on it.
If you don't know what Glossybox is, let me break it down for you: Glossybox are a bespoke company who send you a personalised box of beauty samples (high-end and drugstore!) You get about 5 or 6 luxury sized and some full-sized products in each box every month for only £10 (plus £3.25 p&p). It’s such a good investment if you’re looking to try new brands, or if you just want a little present to yourself!
Sidenote: if you're lusting after this month's collectors 'Girls Just Wanna Have Sun' box, you can get it for just £6 (plus p&p) ☺
So, here's what's inside the box..
Essence live.laugh.celebrate Palette – £1.50 per palette, £1.50 per powder, essence.eu (full size)
To celebrate their 15th birthday, Essence released a cute collection full of all the sparkles and glitter ever. The palette holds four pans, which Glossybox has kindly sent too and they're packaged with sooo much glitter (perfect for V Fest next weekend!). I received two eyeshadows, a blush and a highlighter – all of which I'm yet to try out so expect a review soon!
ModelLauncher Safari Sun Bronzer – modellaunchercosmetics.com, £16.50 (full size) american
I really like the look of this. My photography doesn't do any justice but it is quite shimmery. However, I have already used this a couple of times (it came at the perfect time as I had just smashed my favourite bronzer *cry*) and I'm not really a fan. It goes on quite patchy – not sure if this is due to the type of foundation I was wearing or not but it happened twice with two different foundations! After a bit of blending though, it was wearable. I will give it the benefit of the doubt! If I'm going to be super picky, I will say that the packaging feels insanely cheap! It has a tacky feel about it, which is odd for a mid-range priced bronzer. Annoyingly, I couldn't find this product on a UK based website, only American where it is sold at $27 (£20 odd when converted) sorry!!
Valquer Ice Hair Mask – valquer.com, £14.99 & Batiste 2in1 Dry Shampoo & Conditioner – Boots, £4.49
This hair mask is described as a 'one-of-a-kind energising hair mask'. You apply it instead of using your usual conditioner once or twice a week. It has a cooling effect with added macadamia oil, which is supposed to tame and hydrate your hair. I haven't tried this yet but I definitely will soon – my hair could do with a bit of pampering throughout this unruly British weather! There's also a handbag sized dry shampoo included too – the added conditioner makes your ends feel soft.
Rodial Suede Lips – Rodial.co.uk, £22 (full size)
I really wanted to swatch this because the colour looks so pretty and so suitable for the upcoming Autumn months but I didn't want to open it as I have enough lipsticks already! I believe it's in the shade 'Big Apple' which isn't really giving off summer-esque vibes but it looks pretty wearable for everyday makeup looks. It has a matte finish (amazing, I love mattes) but it's enriched with vitamin E meaning it doesn't dry out your lips 😄
Purelei 'Hawaiian Girl' – purelei.com, £11.90
I adore this cute bracelet! I'm going to V Fest this weekend (let me know if you are too in the comments) and I think this will be a perfect little accessory. It also doubles up as a hair tie which is a win win! They come in packs of three, so don't panic, this single one isn't going to cost you £11.90 haha!
Overall, I am pretty impressed with this box as I think, for once, I will probably use all of the products included! Also, the price of the full size products inside equates to £46 and when the cost of the box is just £10, you really are getting a lot for your money!
