I’ve never done a DIY post before 😮 but this short and sweet one will help you make a soothing face mask from things that are bound to be lurking in your cupboards.
So what are the benefits of using oatmeal on your face? We all know it’s an extremely good source of fibre when eaten which is why it’s the holy grail of breakfasts if you’re dieting! But oatmeal can also be used as an alternative to soap. With it’s gentle texture and the fact that it’s packed with amino acids will do wonders for your skin!
For this simple face mask, you will need:
- A handful of rolled oats
- Natural yoghurt
- Lemon juice (fresh is best but a squeezy bottle is fine too)
I’m sure you can find all of these laying in your cupboard, but if not, they cost next to nothing!
Combine all of these ingredients together until you get a thick paste. Apply all over your face and leave for 20-30mins and rinse off with warm water. No soap needed! The mask will leave your skin feeling beautifully soft and hydrated. The natural ingredients make it suitable for all skin types too, which is always a win ☺
If you’ve made too much, don’t worry! If you seal it and put it in the fridge it will last a few days.
