So I was browsing around Boots the other day looking for a new foundation. I saw this one by Vichy, who are a pretty prestige, high quality brand.
This Dermablend Fluid Corrective foundation seemed to tick all the boxes for me:
- High coverage
- SPF 35
- Lasts for 16 hours
- Covers dark circles and imperfections
I really did have high expectations for this, but I was disappointed when I used it.
Here, I’ve used the mole on my hand as point of reference. On the left of the mole is the foundation before it’s been blended and the right image is after it’s been blended out with a Real Techniques sponge – not that high coverage if you ask me?
Next is the longevity, I applied this at 7:30am and by about 5pm, I could see it getting patchy in places, especially around my nose. So I don’t think it lives up to it’s 16 hour wear statement 😦
It did blend really nicely though, and the colour matched my skin suprisingly well. Maybe I’ll have to try this product out some more and give it the benefit of the doubt.. after all it is an £18 product!!
Have you guys tried this product before? Or can you recommend me a good, high coverage foundation?
