We all know products that have been hyped about on social media, but when we purchase them ourselves it’s like ????????? what’s so good about this?
Well here are some of those products! I do apologise if I sound like a negative nancy 😓
NYX Butter Lipstick – I totally forgot to take a photo of the actual product *facepalm* but I’m sure you guys know what I’m talking about!
I have the shade Sugar Wafer and I don’t know if it’s this particular shade or not but when on my lips, it seems to separate and cling to any dryness I have.
I’m giving this product the benefit of the doubt – hopefully it’s only this shade that’s weird!
Bourjois Java Rice Loose Powder – I know, I know, this was one of my favourites a couple of months back but I’ve kind of forgotten about it. I used it the other day and I thought to myself ‘what does this product even do?’. I hate to be mega negative, but it reminds me of one of those shimmer powders you used to get in those children makeup sets!
I’ll still give it a 10/10 for fragrance though.
Rimmel London Matte 9-in-1 BB Cream – Ughh this product infuriates me! I want to love it, as it has a nice, watery, light texture but it’s soooooo patchy. I’ve tried to love it and have used every product under the sun to apply it but nothing seems to work.
And what makes it worse is that the patchiness gets more noticeable throughout the day – so longevity is non-existent. I’m sorry Rimmel 😦
MUA Luxe Metallic Liquid Lipstick – This is in the shade Luster. This probably my fault – I don’t like it because it’s a silvery shade thats waaaay out of my comfort zone. But on top of that, it’s super sticky and has barely any pigmentation when applied on the lips. Might look alright on top of another lipstick though… who knows.
Too Faced Melted Chocolate Metallic Lipstick in Metallic Chocolate Bar. If I’m honest, if this was food I’d probably like it. Who knew that a high end product would disappoint me? There’s just something about the formula that I really don’t like, and I haven’t quite put my finger on it yet.
Makeup Revolution Powder Blush in Treat. Although these beauties are only £1, they’re really not my favourite. I find the formula super powdery and it tends to fade as the day goes on too. Cheap isn’t always cheerful!
Rimmel London Volume Colourist. This mascara is supposed to tint your lashes a darker colour the more you wear it – which it actually does! The reason I don’t like it is because it doesn’t do anything else for my lashes. They look flat and short. So I never wear it, which makes me sad!
That’s all of the products I haven’t enjoyed recently. I’m sorry if I sounded so negative, but I want to keep my blog honest and real!
Have you guys tried any of these products? What do you think of them?
